Roosevelt, Franklin Delano

Biography: 

(1882–1945), (D-N.Y.), U.S. president (1933–45), who signed Executive Orders 8802 and 9346 which established and strengthened FEPC. He also was actively involved in attempts to desegregate the armed forces during World War II, although full desegregation did not come until 1948.
