Rapellin, Louis Eugene Alexandre

Biography: 

(1892–1973), Algerian-born welder; one of eight white members of Boilermakers Union Local 92 who met with Mitchell, regional FEPC officials to express opposition to union’s policy of requiring blacks to join auxiliary unions. Mitchell recommended him as witness for FEPC hearing in L.A. (Nov. 1943).
