Biography:
(1889–1950), labor organizer, newspaper editor and publisher, and freelance writer; secretary-treasurer, Label Trades Department, AFL. In 1946, he was present at a meeting with Mitchell and U.S. secretary of labor Schwellenbachin which the latter pledged that segregation would end in the Washington offices of the Department of Labor by September 30 of that year.
