McNutt, Paul Vories

Biography: 

(1891–1955) (D.-Ind.), governor of Indiana (1933–38); high commissioner to the Philippines (1939–45); administrator, FSA (1942–45); chairman, WMC (1942–45). He was criticized as “Adolph McNutt” by the NAACP and black press for arbitrary and dictatorial procedures when the FEPC was placed under his control in 1943.
