Biography:
(1898–1997), Roman Catholic priest and author; chair, GICM (1943–55); member, Board of Directors, St. Paul Urban League; member, NAACP National Labor Committee. He was a leader in the drive for the passage of state fair employment practice legislation. He befriended Mitchell while executive director of the St. Paul Urban League.
