Cooper, Evelyn Neilson

Biography: 

(1913 - ?) attorney and hearings examiner, Legal Division, FEPC (1944–45); transferred from Portland, Oregon, branch of OPA (April 1944); special assistant, Department of the Interior (1945–52). While in the Interior Department, she assisted Mitchell in the struggle to obtain permanent FEPC legislation and an executive order against discrimination in government employment. She was active in Capital Transit case, telephone company cases, among others.
