A member of President Truman’s CGCC, he also participated in a 1946 meeting with Secretary of Labor Lewis Schwellenbach on nondiscrimination by USES offices. Former president, IUERMW; labor representative to Regional Labor Supply Committee, Philadelphia; regional representative, Office of Labor Production, WPB; scheduled for radio talk urging strikers to return to work during Philadelphia transit strike (1944), but broadcast canceled at request of mayor.
