Bell, William Yancey, Sr.

Biography: 

(1887–1962), Born in Memphis, Tennessee; middle name also spelled as "Yancy"; Methodist minister; bishop in Colored (now Christian) Methodist Episcopal Church (CMEC). An ardent advocate of Marcus Garvey, he was involved in civil rights activity during the period of World War II.
