To: Mr. George M. Johnson
From: Clarence M. Mitchell
Subject: Proposed Hearing on Machinists Local 824, Case 12-UR-174
Date: Nov. 22, 1944
You will note from the attached memorandum from Mr. Kingman that a hearing has been recommended in this case.
This is one of several problems involving Machinists, which the Committee has considered and on which a sub-Committee was supposed to work.1
I pass Mr. Kingman’s recommendation on to you with the hope that we may be able to get the sub-Committee to take some action or that the Committee will go forward with a hearing.
