Perry, Marian Wynn

Biography: 

(1919–94), attorney, Wage and Hour Division, U.S. Department of Labor (1943–45); NAACP Legal and Educational Defense Fund (1945–49); secretary, National Lawyers Guild (1945–50). She was involved in much of the early civil rights agitation on the federal level immediately after World War II. She subsequently remarried and, under the name Marian Yankauer, became a sociologist specializing in urban themes.
