Kadish, Frank

Biography: 

(1915–2002), of LA; one of eight white members of Boilermakers Local 92 who met with Mitchell, regional FEPC officials in 1943 to express opposition to union’s policy of requiring blacks to join auxiliary unions. Born in Chicago of Lithuanian-Jewish descent., he was a communist who eventually converted to capitalism, founding a glass company in the late 1950s. Kadish was also an art collector, artist, and author.
